Amazing Hot Air Balloons Of The World

The hot air balloon is the oldest successful human-carrying flight technology. It is in a class of aircraft known as balloon aircraft. On Nov 21, 1783, in Paris, France, the first untethered manned flight was made by Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and François Laurent d'Arlandes in a hot air balloon created on Dec 14, 1782 by the Montgolfier brothers. Hot air balloons that can be propelled through the air rather than just being pushed along by the wind are known as airships or, more specifically, thermal airships.

balloons-17 It's interesting to see how the development of the the hot air balloon has gone full circle on itself. At the very start, the first balloonists burnt materials onboard the balloon to generate heat to propel the envelope into the air. This theory then became obsolete as gas and helium designs were introduced as it was considered safer and more reliable than flying with an open flame. It is only within the last 50 or so years that hot air balloons have come back into interest.

Crab design a robot for the police in future

The C.R.A.B Robot is a glimpse inside the future of law enforcement and actual policemen. From the creator of the Cobra Venom V8 concept car Jamie Martin, the new C.R.A.B. Robot could possibly be the next replacement for the Police patrol officer, armed guard, or even a substitute for the Police patrol vehicle (and driver)? Such a machine could revolutionize the nature of Policing; combining the role of a Police vehicle and Police Officer into one, utilizing advanced robotics and artificial intelligence technology. But for now, it’s just a 3D creation…

10 Weird Burger Inspired Designs

It seems there is no shortage of crazy burger pics and impressive (if not a little gross) works of “hamburger art.” This homage to the all-American love of beef patties is enough to bring a tear to your eye (and cholesterol to your arteries!).

To all our carnivores readers out there – here are our fave Web Hamburgers:

1.Burger Harly

burger-harley

Two symbols of the United States, the burger and Harley-Davidson motorcycles unite into an incredibly strange looking and most likely smelling combination, the Burger Trike. Hamburger enthusiast Harry Sperl has sacrificed a 1987 Harley-Davidson to create this unique crazy looking thing which has even onion-like rear wheels while the front rim looks like a tomato slice so the menu is complete and ready to be served.

2.Burger Bed

Texas based fast food fan, Kayla Kromer loves hamburgers so much that she decided that she wanted to be able to sleep in one.The giant burger bed features all the trimmings, with pickle and tomato pillows, lettuce sheets, a cheese slice quilt and a round burger shaped mattress.

3.Hamburger Computer Mouse

Made to look like a delectable cheeseburger with ketchup and a soft, sesame seed bun, this mouse not only moves your cursor around, it makes you hungry too.

4.Hamburger Slut Panties

Sorry guys, these panties say “only a hamburger can satisfy my needs.” It’s probably not a good idea to get involved with a woman like that anyway.

5.Hamburger Dress

Who else wants to sink his (Probably /her)  teeth right into this crocheted hamburger dress?

6.Sneaker Burger

Vice magazine asked online creative director Olle Hemmendorff for his take on Nike’s Air Max 90 shoe, and it looks like he really ran with it. I don’t know how appetizing a burger crafted to look like a sneaker would be. Hope it tastes better than it smells.

7.Lego Burger

Yes I do love Legos and I can not let this list go without a delicious Lego Burger.

8.Fabric Burger and Fries

BMW Confirms Efficient Dynamics Concept

The vehicle is powered by a three-cylinder turbodiesel engine supported by two electric motors. It has a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour (250mph) and can do 0-100 kilometers per hour (0-60mph) in 4.8 seconds. Where the vehicle really excels is in its emissions output. While running on diesel, the vehicle has a consumption of 3.76 litres per 100 kilometers or around 99 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

Of course, for most of us, what matters is the day to day use. For those occassions, the vehicle can be used in an electric mode only, which can be recharged thanks to its plug-in module. In its electric mode, the vehicle stores the energy on its lithium polymer cells, which allow it to drive for around 50km (31 miles) on a single charge. This can be extended a bit thanks to its regenerative braking system.

All is well and good, and we must admit that it looks better than anything that BMW has put out in years. The car design is slick and smooth with a visage that clearly calls out for attention. The vehicle seats up to 4 people (in theory as we’d like to say) in an interior designed to use as many natural materials as it can do so at this time. The vehicle has been optimized in both its drag coefficient (based on Formula 1 studies), and its weight, which has been reduced and redistributed to maximize energy efficiency and improve driveability.

Ultra Rigs of the World: Japanese - Art Truck

Dekotora, also written Decotora, are art decorator trucks originating from Japan. Dekotora trucks are designed with loud, attention grabbing features and colors, both inside and out, in order to turn heads as they drive by. In order to be considered a Dekotora the truck must not be a commercial truck, the hobby is strictly for owners and their own vehicles. It’s believed that Dekotora began in 1975 after the release of a movie aptly called ‘Trucker’ in which the star drives one such vehicle all over Japan. There is no set guideline in design, the goal is to make the truck stand out.

Dekotora, or Decotora, simply means “Decoration Truck.” These trucks are often used for work and decorated by enthusiastic employees. However, due to driving restrictions and such, many of the finer and more extreme examples must be created exclusively for show. The first instances of Dekotora were witnessed following the Japanese film company Toei’s release of Trucker, the tale of a colorfully dressed trucker who traveled about Japan in his overly-decorated rig. The phenomenon swept the country soon after and has morphed into a variety of styles.
